How to mass update same task list operations, that are used in several task lists?

0 Kudos

Hello SAP experts,

in our company we want to create several task lists, that contains sometimes same operations. If we change one of these operations we would like to have the change in all task lists. Is it possible to link these operations or to add them as a reference to a global operation?

Thanks in advance

Pascal

Pascal,

In addition to Andrew's comment above.. I dont think there is any standard functionality for this.

However, If you use Standard Text Keys (CA10), and embed one or more Standard Texts (SO10), then you can simply change the SO10 texts and all associated operations with the same Standard Text Keys will be automatically updated next time the task list is used in an order.

So the link is:

-> Operation with STK

--> CA10 Standard Text (embed the SO10 standard text below)

---> SO10 Standard Text

.

Thank you for your answer. Good idea, but unfortunately the text is not the only thing we want to have changed. E.g. operation time, attached documents, material...

Hello Pascal,

I think the functionality you are looking for is something similar to the Reference Operation Set. With this functionality, a set of operations are referenced in several task lists (routings) - a change in the referenced operation is automatically visible in all the routings in which it is used.

You can read more about it here:

Unfortunately, I don't believe this is available for use in Plant Maintenance Task Lists. I have enabled this capability in Plant Maintenance Task Lists through modification. The effort was not great - but it was a modification!

Kind Regards

Thank you for your answer, I think we have also to do some modification for our case.
