SAP Asset Manager - Technical Service /MERP/SAP_ONLINE_LOOKUP_EXT

Hi Experts,

I am trying to create custom entity set in /MERP/SAP_ONLINE_LOOKUP_EXT_1911 service to use it as online call.

When I went through the complete process and I understood that we have separate technical Service - /MERP/SAP_ONLINE_LOOKUP_EXT_1911 for Online call of entity sets. And those entity sets have their own OMDOs and Class too.

So, when we have independent Class, OMDO, entity sets for online trigger, why do we need separate Technical service? We can create the entity set in Service - /MERP/SAP_ASSET_MANAGER_1911 itself.

Can anyone help me to understand, is there any specific reason to maintain separate Technical service - /MERP/SAP_ONLINE_LOOKUP_EXT_1911?
