ESS IT declaration without MSS

Hi,
We are implementing IT declaration without MSS portal access
Did all the steps as per the Configuration Document but facing the following issues.

1) UWL Task appears as Text instead of hyperlink, and launchWebDynPro option not working

2) After Approval Request appear in Partially Approved State , Workflow 18900052 remains in READY state
These requests should be approved from ESS portal of Manager ( Since we are not using MSS )
Requests already appearing in ESS link of manager

3) SWFVISU

4) ESS Portal Systems Administration

5) LPD_CUS

6) SE80 Webdynpro Component

what changes should be made?
I am using WD Java , in SWFVISU also Java WebDynPro is maintained but in LPD_CUST it is showing WebDynPro ABAP Application will this cause problems?

Java Based ESS Income Tax Declaration is not supported starting year 2017. This information was communicated in the market via SAP Note: 2197856 - Support for India HCM specific WebDynpro for Java Applications-Announcement Note published in the year 2015.

The above note contains the list of notes , you can refer to implement the required functionality/

Your system should be min at EHP6 i.e. EA-HR 606 or higher.

Solution has been made available in WD ABAP version with minimal migration effort. Hence we would recommend you to upgrade your system release level to anywhere between EHP6 to EHP8 available for customers (if SP is lesser than these). Also the larger legal requirements like Form 12BB can be achieved directly with the new ITD WD ABAP based solution. All the future changes example budget changes is only available on ABAP solutions.

LPD_CUST is usually for WD ABAP applications.

Hi, Please check the table contents SWWWIHEAD using tcode SE16, check the field value top_task which will tell the workflow which is used (if you suspect any-other workflow is used). Check this table with complete tracing of your sequence of workflow activities (with the date & time details on when this workflow is being executed).

You can also check with abaper to debug your workflow steps.

Tried debugging

As soon as the request is sent for approval

Workflow 18900052 is being triggered but there is no activity defined in that workflow so it stays in READY state

Is there any complete configuration document available for WD java starting with which services to activate to portal view configuration?

Hi, why WD java? why not WD Abap? Is there any specific business reason behind this...

As for my understanding, WD java is very old technology and SAP may not support..
