Configure MDG field for Search/Select and Restrict Key-In

We are using value mapping for some fields in the SAP MDG application and want to force users to use the Search for selecting a value instead of allowing them to key in the value they "think" they should use. Is this possible?

We are on version 9.2 and use NWBC.
