Using FIM to load data from SAP S/4 HANA Central Finance to BFC?

Hi Experts,

We're looking for some guidance on how to connect FIM to S/4 HANA Central Finance to be able to load data into FC. We're using FIM 10 SP17 and FC 10 SP19 both on SQL db at the moment so unable to leverage the interoperability feature that has been introduced in FC 10.1. We are not looking at using flat file extracts.

1. What type of datastore needs to be created in FIM to connect to Central Finance (Database or SAP ECC)?
2. If we use Database datastore to connect to the SAP HANA database can we load data from the S4H_YTD calculation view (which is the default source calculation view provided by SAP) or any other view?
3. Any best practices or guidance that has already been provided by SAP for those looking to use FIM to load data from Central Finance?

Regards,
Manas Phadke

Hi Marc,

I had already seen this Wiki but it covers setting up FIM on HANA db, the title is a bit misleading. As I have specified in my post, we have both FIM and FC on SQL db and are looking for inputs on using FIM to create a datastore and load data from S/4 HANA Central Finance into FC.
