We are currently using SAPScript and SAPScript Raw Data Interface with Adobe Output Server (a.k.a. Jetform) to mass print label and document. However, Adobe Output Server has been obsoleted for a few years time already. We have over 250 form designs. We have over 5 printing sites in various Asia cities. Monthly printing volume of each site is over 30,000.
We are at the crossroad. On the one hand, we plan to migrate our form design to SAP Smart Form to replace SAPScript/SAPScript Raw Data Interface (RDI). On the other hand, we plan to upgrade from R3 to S4HANA. According to note https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2791338, Smart Form is still support in S4HANA but no more SAP future investment.
Should we still keep going to migrate to Smart Form? Can Smart Form form design be easily migrated to S4HANA Output Management? How about Interactive Form By Adobe?
Can Interactive Form by Adobe or SmartForm handle high volume of printing? Currently, RDI is light weight as it only transfer raw content data without design or layout format.
Do SAP have suggestion on printing solution?
