Java SUM detects ABAP system

Hi,

After installing Solution Manager 7.2 (Dual stack system), I am updating the SPs.

I used SPAM/SAINT for updating the ABAP stack and everything was OK, and I am now using SUM for updating the Java stack but my JAVA system is not detected during the process.

The steps that I followed are:

1. Download last version of SUM

2. Extract it under \usr\sap\<SID>

3. Register SUM: startup confighostagent <SID>

4. Go to http://<hostname>:1128/lmsl/sumjava/<SID>/index.html or http://<hostname>:1128/lmsl/sumjava/<SID>/dual.html -> Tab Java

In the welcome Step, the Detected SAP Netweaver system is my ABAP System instead of my JAVA system as you can see in the screenshot.

Could you please help me to identify what I am doing wrong?

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

Maria

    Hi,

Check your system environmental variables. There should not be any reference to the ABAP system. This usually happens if the system was dual-stack and it has been splited. Then, launch the SUM with the SIDADM user of hte JAVA system.

      Hi Javi,

Thank you very much for your answer.

Unfortunately, I have checked the environment variables of the system and everything seems to be OK.

Also the profile parameter "system/type = DS"

Do you have any other suggestion here? All ideas are welcome.

      Thank you.

      Kind regards,

      Maria

    Dear Maria,

In SAP Solution Manager 7.2 version is mandatory to SPLIT the system. You can not have a dual stack system with that version. You can read more info here: https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3962198

In other words, you first have to separate the ABAP and JAVA systems and then you have to launch SUM using the newly created JIDADM user.

    Regards,

    Javi
