Name of Proxy Host and Port Number of Proxy Host To send SAP system information to CIG,

Hi,

As part of global setting for CIG addon, we need to send SAP system information to CIG, we need to give below information in SPRO t-code and then navigate to Send SAP Information to SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway.

Enter the following SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway credentials in SOA Manager Credentials to Setup Initial Connection with CIG section.

 User Name (your P User name)

 Password (your P User password)

 Name of Proxy Host

 Port Number of Proxy Host

I am not getting from where i can get proxy host details, is it something that we need to configure in CIG or Cloud connector.

Hi Mayank,

I believe those proxy details are not mandatory to fill if your businss doesnt have any proxy server with SAP ERPs.

You can check with business Basis/Network Security teams if really they really have one and if yes ask them that details of host/port etc.

Hi Mayank,

The Proxy host/port details are specific to your network. You can get this information by executing T code SM59 -> Extras-> HTTP proxy configuration.

Name of proxy host seems to be specific to CIG, is it optional and can be left blank?

Can we run SM59 for CIG or ariba as they are cloud based?

Hi Mayank,

You can get the proxy host/port information from SM59 on the ERP or S4Hana system where the ARIBA AddOn is installed. The proxy details are not specific to CIG as this is completely specific to the network on which the SAP application is running.

In SM58, extra - http proxy nothing is coming, anything need to be created there?
