SAP IRPA - Problems with setting Criteria from Captured Data (Web Application)

Hello!

I face a problem at the moment, trying to use SAP Intelligent RPA to capture Web Applications.

Even after I have set a criteria, my pages doesn´t turn green. However, the problem occurs only from the second page on which I capture. The first time I noticed it is when I wanted to recreate the contents of this post:

At first I thought that this was an exception, but no matter what website I tried, the same problem appears.

Thank you for your help!

Best regards

Karl

Hi Karl,

When trying to add a second page with the same criteria it won't turn to green unless you record the second page in a different way.

From my experience you should record the second page as a subpage to your first captured page called "phttpsHelpSapCom" by clicking on the camera symbol on the far right corner of the captured screen and follow the capturing procedure. At the end once you are asked if you would like to overwrite the existing page just press "no". This way you are able to work in two different pages on the same domain / criteria.

The second captured page in your example can be deleted afterwards in my opinion.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Raphael

Hi Raphael,

Thanks for your hint! I wonder why it worked in the tutorial from Sonu (https://blogs.sap.com/2020/02/12/challenge-submission-how-to-extract-data-from-a-web-page-to-excel-using-sap-intelligent-rpa/) without any problems, and why I am not able to reproduce what he did great.

I captured it as a subpage and it worked, or at least I no longer have a red page on the left side. However, the second page is actually a new page, because it is only opened when I type 'irpa' in the search field and click on search.

EDIT:

The solution was to set the criteria "TITLE" and "URL" for the first page and different from the "DOMAIN" that the guide used - if I set the "DOMAIN" as a fixed criterion for the first page, it does not differ from the second page, because the "DOMAIN" is always "= help.sap.com". For the second page, I have set the "TITLE" as the criterion.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Best regards

Karl
