Hello,
I'm trying to create a sub-admin role that has some additional rights in the CMC. One of the activities that I want the user to be able to assign an access level for a folder however I keep getting a "You do not have sufficient rights to make the requested security changes" message when testing as the new user type. What are the correct rights for this activity? I do not want to use 'Full Control' or broad rights. I've tried many different combinations of rights pertaining to the settings for Users, User Groups, Folders and Access Levels. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike Gaynor
You can create delegated admin group, add the users to the group whom you want to handle assigning rights to folders.
On the Acess level, setup the delegated group has view and Use access level for security assignment" right.
On the user group -> top level security, assign View objects, Add objects to the folder, Add and edit user attributes
Same apply to folder top level security as well

In order to assign access, the delegated admin group has to have view access to the following:
- The user groups being assigned
- The top level of Custom Access Levels and inherited down to the specific access levels.
- The folder where access is being assigned. As Jawahar mentioned, the group has to have the "Use access level for security assignment" right granted on the folder as well.
