You cannot change account determination; asset class has associated transactions

I try to change Account Determination in Asset Class,but getting the error 'You cannot change account determination; asset class has associated transactions'.

I think it can be changed because the field is not grey out.

Hello,

Experience the same thing. Our customer is able to change the account determination field from the asset class and run the depreciation. After checking the depr run posted wrong GL accounts from the changes made. Now, we are trying to change it again but we can't do it with the above error. Is there any solution we can change it or a workaround to solve the issue? We have 60 asset master data affected by these changes. We are using Calendar Year (Jan - Dec). Hoping for your advice.

Hi,

You cannot change the G/L Account in the Account determination of Fixed Asset if the Account is a part of the Asset History Sheet.

Is there any workaround solution for the same. We have already added many Items with an opening balance in the system and the Account determination Balance sheet account is not Linked.
