Dear All,
We have a requirement where we have created a custom report which have tables + charts in it. And we want to email this chart as it is in the report(We are not preferring Web link format for this) from the Embedded object component.
In C4C,Currently we are only able to send reports in Email in XML, Excel format, and Web link.
Can someone please guide how to send the chart data of report in email in the same chart format .
Hi Shubhangi,
there is a huge limitation – you have to use only web browser link format, otherwise it would be sent as a table. There is one workaround - create a dashboard with your chart report and broadcast it in html format. For dashboards it works just fine. This way html link will be sent as an attachment and receiver won’t need to log in the system to see the chart report:
For more information about Broadcasts feature in C4C visit my blog: https://www.anodius.com/en/qa/broadcast-email-reports-dashboards-sap-c4c/

Hi Dominik,
Just to add one important point (which i missed to add in my previous answer)
When you will select format as HTML for broadcast using dashboard, it will trigger email with below links and a HTML file.
Link to Dashboard: <Hyperlink>
Link to Dashboard (using Single-Sign On): <Hyperlink>
If you access these links, you nave to enter the credentials and if you open the attached HTML file, then you can see the chart data without entering the credentials.

Hi Shubhangi,
Except format "Web Browser link", Chart report is currently not supported in the formats HTML, CSV, Microsoft Excel or Spreadsheet.
So we wont be able to send report in chart formats other than web browser link.
For more details, you can refer to below case document:
https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/public/en/2679693
You can create a dashboard and used the report with chart view and in this case, two formats are supported "HTML and Web Browser Link" and use it in broadcast but here also, user have to login to see the dashboard (the way they are currently viewing the report in chart format via Web Browser Link").
Please check and let us know in case of any further concerns.
Regards,
Saurav Kumar
