Hello All,
I am trying to create a new derivation rule (Enhancement), by using the existing characteristic (Sales Rep-WWSR). So, using Enhancement, I will be updating the value Field Name (IHREZ) & Table (VBKD), into WWSR.
1) Do i have to regenerate the operating concern, after my derivation rule works successfully, I think NO since I am using existing characteristic (WWSR)
2) When i create a new derivation rule, do i have to create in each system, or move the changes by transport? As I can see in Dev & Q the steps in KEDR does not match. What is the recommended way.
Thanks.
Hi sachin.thombre
You need to transport the derivation rules across landscape. The below response is the perfect reply

The operating concern should be generated only if there is a structural change to the operating concern. if there is no such change, than it is not necessary to generate the OC. if however, you have added a new characteristic as well in addition to the derivation rule, than you must regenerate the OC. Below WIKI page explains the same beautifully.

Hello sachin.thombre
You need to check which steps are relevant for you to be in Prod and Q. If the step is not required in Prod, please remove the same and than transport the derivation rules.
