Strange error in FM for Purchase Order

Dear Experts,

I need your help regarding the strange error i encountered when trying to create PO from PR, we activated budget period as account assignment in Fund Management, PR is created per Q2. Commitment values are populated for Q2 but when PR want to be converted into PO, a message of "Annual Budget Exceeded" appears, this is odd because the amount of excess is the PO Commitment amount - Q1 budget available amount and of course we have same account assignment in PR and PO, i never encountered this strange error before, would anyone help me to find the solution, could it be that i am missing configuration or something? your help would be very much appreciated

Regards,

Angga

    Hi,

You have to give more details. Is the error issued to the 'correct' FM address? Is it the same address as the assignment in PO? What is your update profile and to which budget ledger AVC message is issued, etc., etc.?

    Regards,

    Eli

    Dear Eli,

This is screenshot from my Update Profile

these screenshot below are for PR and FMIOI

when the user try to convert the PR to PO, error budget exceeded occurs below :

the error clearly shows that the exceeded amount is 1.338.076.635 and i found it strange because the excess amount is come from PO amount (2.007.114.954) - Q1 budget available amount (669.038.318) as shown by the FMAVCH below :

for budget period, we activated it from the beginning because it is part of our design process

    Hi,

The system obviously is trying to consume the budget again, without releasing the commitment of PR. Hence, the amount of budget exceed that you see: it equals exactly the difference of your available amount and the amount of PR (PO). When you say that user tries to convert PR to PO, what is he doing exactly? Is he creating PO from PR reference? Via standard process? Does it happen only for one PR and you don't have issue with others?

    Regards,

    Eli
