How the value of Unloading Point in PM Work Order's Component Tab get populated

Hi Experts,

Whenever i am creating an order in IW31 and filling the materials in the components tab it is asking me to enter the unloading point ad goods recipient value in the respective fields, what are these fields used for and what is the significance. Also have noticed that some of orders that have been generated though maintenance plan scheduling already have the values in the unloading point & recipient field. What am i missing ?

Hi Mahanty,

There are multiple ways to populate it.

1. Through user exit

2. User default - Click Extras - Settings - Default Values - External Processing Tab and External Procurement Tab

3. If Maintained in the Task List, when scheduling it will be populated here.

Typically speaking, the unloading point and goods recipient are not mandatory fields in PM/CS orders.

The will be some MM config that makes these fields mandatory.

Check the Operations and component details, check the External Tab, see whether any details are maintained.

Have checked the external tab of the task list and i could find anything related to goods recipient and unloading point.

Hi,

Unloading Point - The unloading point represents the address at which bundles of issues are loaded or unloaded for delivery using a vehicle

Good Recipient - Specifies the recipient for whom the material or the service is destined.

You can use F1 in the field, to understand the purpose of it.

Secondly, if it is auto filled, check the Task list assigned to the Maintenance Item for the Maintenance Plan, actually it was coming from there.

Can you let me know what i need to check in the task list. I could not find any thing related to unloading point and recipient maintained at task list level.
