Hello,
We are in the process to determine if we should purchase Crystal Reports and have installed the trial version .
One of the things were are looking for is if there is a way to create a Crystal Report that functions like an Excel Pivot Table
Currently our users are using an excel Pivot Table updated weekly to analyze sales information. We are looking to give them a report generated nightly that could be accessed via our portal.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!!!
Crystal CrossTabs would indeed give you a layout similar to Excel pivot tables.
But they don't provide interactive slice & dice functionality.
You could use parameters to dynamically control the CrossTab rows/column and report filters.
For even more direct click interactions or more advanced visualizations, you could consider 3r-party Crystal report viewers. See list of such viewers here: https://kenhamady.com/productlinks/default.html#viewers
Here are video demos of such added features in one such viewer that I developed:

Yes, you can. It's called a "Cross-Tab".

Hi John,
Because you are new to the Community every question you post needs to be OK'd by a Moderator.
Please don't post multiple times, just be patient. I forget what number you need to get to before they don't need to be moderated any more, it's not that high...
