I am looking for a step by step detailed guide for creating OBD equivalent to what is created in SCWM/PRDO.

I have tried the steps mentioned in the below link, but I get stuck at 2 points

Step 3 from above link which is Inserting Party Number:

Here, as we insert a party number, and then try using select method, we find that we get two records. Out of which second record with counter 2 is the newly inserted one. The one with counter 1 is the one which gets generated by default after step 1 which is calling Insert method for Head.

We tried using Update instead of Insert as step 3 and tried updating the party number, but it fails.

It would be great if I can get step by step detail to create OBD
