Calculation View Performance

Hello Experts,

We have a BW Datasource based on a Calculation View. The problem is when DTP on this Datasource is executed, it taken 2 minutes on few days, but on few occasions it takes over 2.5 hrs for the same number of records (just 5K records). We are trying to trace the reason but haven't found anything yet. The Calculation View design is pretty much simple 4 projections, 3 joins and couple of Rank nodes.

Can someone let us know if there is any way to trace performance and find out which steps is causing the issue?

Hi,

In case you're not using; there's an option in datasource fields as "Use for packaging and partitioning". Try to use an appropriate field(s) with this option like date or key. Especially if you're using a restriction in DTP, try to set it and try again.
