How can we load model even if member used in data is missing in public dimension in SAC. In many cases public dimension is not maintained with latest member which in result drops import data related to corresponding member and you will have to maintain member and then re-run import.

Hi Nitin,

Update public dimension with new member from import data source of a model is NOT yet supported feature.

We already have this as a backlog item. No clear ETA.

As a workaround, we recommend to schedule a master data import job for public dimension.

Best regards, William

Nitin,

this is the expected behaviour when using public dimensions. As stated in the online help: https://help.sap.com/viewer/00f68c2e08b941f081002fd3691d86a7/release/en-US/b64df99375084bf4b283023df..., "Dimension members can be updated if the dimension is private (i.e. not shared in multiple models). Updates to public dimensions are not supported."

So in the case of public dimensions the members will be rejected and you will have to maintain the dimension and then import again. There is no alternative solution to this that I am aware of.
