In SAP Analytics cloud, predictive scenario uses dataset for training and predicting output.
How can we schedule data refresh for a dataset in SAC fusing S4HANA as source via import connection based on CDS views so that input dataset used for prediction is aumatically refreshed
Good morning, at the moment it's not possible to schedule the refresh of acquired datasets. I'll take note of the ask. You can also raise this as a SAC enhancement request, others might also vote your request: https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/884. Thanks for your question, kind regards, Antoine Chabert (Smart Predict Product Manager).

vtr1cobbsr yes unfortunately this is the case as of today. Try to create the story directly off datasets? Best Antoine

+1, wanting to build time series scenario against universe data.
best option would be to be able to use an SAC model as a datasource
but if a dataset could be refreshed i could schedule a webi report to CSV on a network drive and have the dataset refresh from that CSV

@Antoine CHABERT
Thanks for your reply.
I have created 2 datasets (History and Current), run Smart Predict regression and save the output as Output dataset
Also, created 2 models using the above 2 datasets and then created one story to show AR dashboard as given in the SAP standard content. Now, I want to refresh the datasets, run Smart predict again and save the output in the same dataset. It is working fine. Then, refresh the 2 models (History and Current) and refresh the AR dashboard. But, the refresh or recreate data in model from Datasets is not visible/not working. I am using Acquired data connection with S/4HANA backend system.
So, does it mean that we need to create new models every time we need to refresh the data or I am missing something
Thanks for your reply in advance

Hi,
its possible to schedule the data refresh for data imported from S4. Please use the option highlighted in the attachment.

Are you not sure that you are referring to a model and not a dataset?
Schedule a dataset - not possible
Schedule a model - possible
good luck
