Hello All,
can someone explain me about the naming convention of the below SAP Analytics cloud version?
2020.2.19
I can understand that it is release 2020.2. But what the number 19 indicates?
Thanks,
Nivetha
The .19 refers to a patch release. These are patches that are applied to existing tenants outside of the normal QRC release cycle to fix issues that are deemed important enough to address before the next official upgrade cycle. Normally a patch release will contain only one or two code fixes and not new functionality.
The number itself is not meaningful, by this I mean that .19 does not mean that there has been 18 previous patch releases applied to your tenant. This is just an incremental counter used internally. It is quite possible for a customer tenant to jump from 2020.2.2 to 2020.2.19 for instance.
