SAP BO Xcelsius dashboard interface testing

Hi Experts,

I am new to SAP BO. I need to do interface testing for the Xcelsius dashboards which are created using connection type as Query as Web services ( QAAWS). there is an upgrade activity going on for the LIMS and Sharepoint in my project from where the data is fetching for those dashboards. So please let me know the steps to be followed for interface testing.

Current version : SAP BO 4.2 SP5

What exactly does it mean "interface testing" ?
What does it mean "upgrade project" and what is LIMS ?

also, if you are just starting to use Xcelsius, you should reconsider and use SAP Analytics cloud or Lumira instead.
