GUI Component ID changing pattern

Why the GUI Component IDs change the pattern when I use different connections?

For example, when I use connection "EP1" the GUI components are named by numbered indexes.

When I use connection "EP2" the GUI components are named by text indexes.

The both pictures above are from input MB52 transaction.

In the way, a script written to EP1 connection does not work at EP2 connection, because can't find the components by ID.

Best regards,

Eduardo DONATO.

I was not aware of the possibility to enter an ID like ".../ctxt[0]"

And does the ID ".../ctxtMATNR-LOW" work in EP1?

NB: your screenshot shows the tool "Scripting Tracker" created by Stefan Schnell https://tracker.stschnell.de/index.htm (SAP also provides a simpler tool "SAP_GUI_Script_ScreenRead_Sample.ZIP" in note 1441550 - SAP GUI scripting: Sample applications)

Hello Sandra,

please check whether you are using a "Low Speed Connection" for one of the systems.
In case of "Low Speed Connection" only parts of the scripting IDs are transferred to SAP GUI.

Frank
