Business card scan - Adding authorizations

Hi,

i would like to configure the Business Card scanner in C4C but so that not everybody is able to use this.

Is there possibility to add further authorizations which only gives a few People the ability to scan?

Hi,

AFAIK, there is no standard access restriction that can control scan is disabled for a certain business role. May be you can consider opening an idea to https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/1868.

However, as a "dirty" workaround, you can try to restrict the Customer or Lead creation process for such users via business roles access restriction. And in such cases, though they will be able to scan the card while saving there will be error due to missing authorisation. Note that if you follow this approach then those uses will not even be able to create a customer or lead even from normal procedure.
