Help please! I'm so confuse with suppress...

I'm making a DTR system report with 4 time columns. In and out for morning and afternoon sessions, respectively. The first image is my output applying formula with conditions.

The output without the conditions applied. I was successful in hiding those values I didn't want to show up, but not on suppressing or removing those blank lines.

One of the formula's I made. Works the same with 'else "" ' added.without the single quote.

What I want to do is to remove those blank lines for every column, so that result will line up horizontally(first image). I've done a lot of suppress trials but it's gives the same result. Please need some ideas. Thank you.

Assuming that you're putting this info in detail sections within a daily group on the date, try this:

1. In the Section Expert, for each of the detail sections turn on "Underlay Following".

2. Have an empty group footer section just below the details. All of the details should end up on this section due to the underlay.

The one problem with this technique is that it will not export to Excel cleanly. But, if that's not a requirement it should work for you.

Another way of doing this that would export to Excel well would be to also group by the day and then put the Maximum() of each of the four formulas in the correct column in the group header and suppress the details.

Thank you for the quick response.

I tried your suggestions with and without conditions applied, it lined up horizontally in the group footer but it only shows the last time value of the day for each of the column.

Like this:

17:53 17:53 17:53 17:53

I will not be exporting it to excel, I tried Maximum() but it still yields the last time value of the day.

Again, thank you for the help.

If you're working from the version in your first picture where each column is on a different line, Underlay Following should work. If you can, please save the report "with data" and either zip it up and attach it here or go to my website (www.dellstinnett.com) to get my email address and send it to me so that I can look at it and see whether I can get it to work for you. Which version of Crystal are you using?
