Hello. Our far east business has identified a potential concern with SAP country codes and descriptions. With the February 2002 upgrade, Hong Kong became Hong Kong, China, Taiwan became Taiwan, China, Macao became Macao, China. I was asked if we can change it back to how it was before the upgrade. When I opened a question/incident with SAP, the response was that they adhere to global standards, and I can appreciate and understand this. However, the question of how we can workaround this has now come up. If this applies to you and your business/customers, please let me know if you have addressed this and if you have a workaround.
Thank you
Marisa
Thank you Leonardo. I was going to post this as well as an FYI.

Hi Marisa,
This case has already been reported to our development team for consideration in the future, as per the incident that you have created.
To register the current workaround here, so other users may find this solution as well:
In Business Configuration, there is an activity named Countries. This activity can be used to overwrite the standard country descriptions.
Kind regards,
Leonardo
