Changing servername to ipaddress in generated raport URL

Hello Everyone,

I'm currently working on a project where we have a BO schedule that sends a weekly email with auto-generated URL to the new instance of the webi raport.

The issue is that the auto-generated URL doesn't work for mobile devices that aren't connected to company network. However, the link works when we switch the servername to ipaddress in the generated URL.

Is there is any way to affect the auto-generated URL so that it would show ipaddress instead of servername?

If no, do we have any other solutions to this problem?

I would appreciate any assistance in this matter.

If the IP works and servername isn't when users outside of corp network access those URL's means that your company network is exposed to outside world in a bad way.
This means that your server name is not public, but IP is. So the public DNS servers that route requests do not know your server name.
Your IT needs to address this. There is nothing on BOE side that can be done to address it.

Thank you for the answer - I was thinking along those lines!

Just a question tho - is there a workround here , for example can we generate an URL with schedule that would open the report in BO Mobile instead of web browser?
