Transaction notification vs Approval Procedure

Hello dear experts.

I have been researching the use of Transaction notification and approval procedures, finding notes on use and function but I found in previous posts that these 2 methods cannot be used at the same time, arguing that there is a note or document related to it, will someone have said note or document?

Kind regards.

Hi Fransisco,

You can use them at the same time. They simply have different purposes that can overlap. The transaction notification can be used to to let the system block a transaction from being created at all, when certain conditions are, or are not met. The approval procedure allows a transaction to be created, in a temporary form, and the conditions are checked by a user.

Now it is conceivable that an approval procedure could get triggered before the transaction notification can block the transaction, but I have never heard of it.

If you have a scenario that you think requires both mechanisms, I recommend testing it in a test database.

Regards,

Johan
