I found where SuccessFactors-Employee Central will integrate nicely with SAP BW/4 HANA 2.0 (due to inclusion of data structures in the Workforce Management module for SF-HCM).
We currently have BW-on-HANA (HANA 1.0) implemented. We are upgrading to HANA 2.0 but still be using the architecture BW-on-HANA. We currently have ERP/ECC installed...where we retrieve and store all of our HR/PR data based on Business Content. We are about to embark on implementing SuccessFactors Employee Central (SF-EC) to replace the HR/PR module on our ERP/ECC system.
My question is...will we have access to the delivered objects of SuccessFactors-Employee Center (Workforce Management module of SF-HCM) when we upgrade to HANA 2.0 in our BW-on-HANA landscape OR will we have to migrate from BW-on-HANA to BW/4HANA in order to have access to the delivered objects of SuccessFactors-Employee Central (Workforce Management module of SF-HCM)?

Andreas,
Thanks for responding. Your answer is what I was "thinking" but was hoping that I was wrong 🙂
At this point, we are going to have SF-EC back feed our ECC system (for other reasons related to Payroll Processing on ECC) and continue to use the ECC Business Content DataSources to load data into our BW-on-HANA 7.5 / HANA 1.0 (soon to be H2.0)...until we upgrade to BW/4HANA in 4 years.

Hi Scott,
the standard content is only available with Content Add-On BW4CONT 200 (BW/4HANA Content 2.0) which can only be installed in a BW/4HANA 2.0 system.
If conversion of your existing BW on HANA or getting an additional BW/4HANA system is not an option, you could still leverage the Odata APIs by SuccessFactors to load the data into your BW system (e.g. file load via SFSF Integration Center, SDI, DataHub...) and implement a data model on your own. Be aware that there is quite some logic necessary, especially if you need trend reporting for headcount based on the Odata APIs.
I believe this is not the response you were looking for but hope I could help to clarify.
Best regards,
Andreas

Hello Andreas,
what needs to be done on Success Factors site to be able to connect via API from BW?
Is there something necessary comparable to "content extractor activation"?
Is there something available like "extractor checker" to have a look at the data in SF first before connecting to BW?
thanks and kind regards
Cornelia
Hi Cornelia,
you need a SuccessFactors user who has authentication to access the OData API's.
Then you can just call the APIs via URL as described here:
Example: To call the EmpJob API would be: https://<SuccessFactors DataCenter hostname>/odata/v2/EmpJob?$format=json
Best regards,
Andreas
