HANA Express 2.0 with Eclipse 2019-12

Hi,

I have successfully installed HANA Express 2.0 and Eclipse 2019-12. Got HANA instance running on VM. Trying to connect eclipse and get Java error messages. Any help? Also, when I type in the wrong password it gives me appropriate error message.

Thanks,

Alex Vaynberg

Yes, as responded:

Try using the bundled SAP HANA studio (JRE + plugin) from Software Downloads for your OS and see if the issue persists. If so, open a ticket as this version is fully supported.

Development stopped on SAP HANA studio in 2016. There are critical bug fixes and security fixes in the SAP HANA studio version shipped with the product.

As for the plugin, it may work, it may not.

As per https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/#hanatools HANA Tools can be used only with JRE ver.8

The error you got usually means you use a newer version of Java to run Eclipse.

There is the OS, Java RT, Eclipse, SAP HANA plugin - many things could go wrong.

Try using the bundled SAP HANA studio (JRE + plugin) from Software Downloads for your OS and see if the issue persists. If so, open a ticket as this version is fully supported.
