SAP SCM Accelerators / Wishlists/ Solution Productivity / User Adoption

Dear APO Consultants,

I was trying to tabulate and organize some of the 'pains' you had in using APO in Business as Usual. Either in Application Support or as a Business User (Planner). Pains that made you wish.. if this were there! Functionally.

May I request you to highlight your wishes? For now restrict this to APO DP, SNP (HEU, OPT), CTM, PP, DS, GATP, CIF, APO BW

- What caused poor user adoption of APO?

- What 'Accelerators' did you always wish for but never had the time and patience to get one developed ?

- What utility programs for Mass Maintenance /Validations you think made sense to have ?

- How did the 'Supply Chain Managers' - the owners of APO complain about what APO can or cannot do?

-What complimentary functionalities from 'other software' could have been made available within APO?

I will appreciate responses with specific examples and context. e.g when there is no activity time maintained in the PDS, the source of supply is not proposed by SNP optimizer. But you wont know that Activity time is 0 unless you dig 3 screens across ECC and APO.

E.g. I can think of 'Master Data Reconciliation between and Across APO and ECC. Incl. rule based validation. Is my master data incomplete ? Safety Stock was supposed to be maintained but it is not?

Consider this as a survey useful for everyone. I will summarize the responses possibly for a blog post.
