What is the difference between E070 table and STMS_IMPORT History?

I need the extract the list of transports that were imported in the production system. While both E070 table and STMS_IMPORT History are interchangeably used for this purpose, there is a delta when I'm comparing these files.

Hi Pulin,

In addition to Matt's reply - STMS_IMPORT history for specific period is sufficient if you want to get a list of TRs transported in specific time.

It reads data from same tables but gives you the output what you need. Not sure why there is a requirement to compare data between a Tcode and the table!

What is the delta you see? Are you looking at E070 in your production system? Or are you looking at it in your DEV system? E070 is not, strictly speaking, a history table, so while it does indeed show the list of imported transports, it can show all transports in a system, including those originating from that system that aren't yet released, etc.

Hi Pulin,

Stms and Stms_import both are using for TMS(Transport Management System). From STMS we can log in to TMS where we can check and and configure about system overview, Import over view, and Transport Route. In STMS_IMPORT we can log in Import Queue of same instance.
