Unable to Syndicate to Flat (type) and BW (client)

Has anyone successfully syndicated MDM data to BW?

In my scenario, I have loaded data using Excel into the Import Manager. I then performed a match and was able to generate Group ID. Next, since there are no standard maps for Flat, I am creating my own destination items and trying to syndicate my records to a .txt file.

If there is anyone who have been successful syndicating to a Flat file from a standard SP3_P1_Vendor repository (Vendor main table only, I would like to hear from you ..especially how you have configured your Item Mappings tab, Map Properties tab, and the Destination Items tab.

If you have only used a stadard XML schema for BW, please tell me which one you have used in 5.5 SP3 and whether it worked.

Rishmal,

There will not be major changes whether you are Syndicating a standard repository or a custom repository. Hence, please let us know where you had issues with the Syndication to a flat flat (Let us know the specific error). The standard <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdmgds55/helpdata/EN/28/52a8a6076d4979b08c27c7ca3aab8d/frameset.htm">documentation on Syndicator</a> has details on how to Syndicate. Hope you checked it already.

Basically, after doing the mappings of my destination items to the Vendor main table, when I preview and send the output to a .txt, I do not see the duplicate auto id/group id.

Eg. I have loaded from 2 sources, 2 records each. One of the records from the second source match the previous. So in my DM/Synd, I see total of 3 records. I can also see the key, Auto ID, Client, when I do the 'Edit Key Mappings' dialog box.

So, now since two of the records have a same auto id/group id, should I not be seeing these in the .txt or XML file? I am not. These ids would become navigational attibute of say the 0Vendor infoobject in BW. I just see the 3 records all with different auto ids. This does not help in BW. I hope you see my problem.
