I want to install 3 database servers and distribute the databases, as a workload distribution. However it would only have a SAP server. Therefore, he asks us for support in finding out if this arrangement is possible, taking into account that: - Is it possible to add more than one database in the SAP / MS-SQL SLD? - Given that a COMMON database is handled on the database server, how does it work if there are 3 database servers?
Hi
In this case you have to follow the SAP installation on distributed environment method. SAP instance running in different host, database is common to all the SAP instance. refer the installation guide from the following link https://help.sap.com/viewer/nwguidefinder
before that check the PAM MS Sql 2016 supported you current SAP version.

Hi Luis.
1. In SAP D server is it single or multiple instance? I mean that SAP SID single or multiple?
2. Normally we have common database server for more number of SAP instance,(I mean multiple SAP SID instance are connected to a single database servers). In our environment we have installed all the development and quality SAP SID instance are connected to single DB servers in MS Sql server.
3. Three different DB are connected to one single SAP instance, yes it possible based on you database.

Hi,
maybe it´ll be usefull, but I´m not sure, and I don´t know if it is supported and certified by SAP into a productive system.
