Hi All,

Just wanted to confirm that for a global MDM implementation will a 3-tier architecture work or do I need to add more? Will appreciate any document to help make a decision...

Thanks,

S

Salil,

What do you mean by a three tier architecture ? DEV / QA / PROD - well there might be a few difference on how you want the changes to be reflected in Production, How are you setting you PROD box - using the Master Salve mechanism, right?

Can you explain the architecture that you have in mind?

Ravi

Ravi,

Yes, Initially I was looking at 3 Tier(DEV/QA/PROD) but now I'm planning to have 5 Tier(Global DEV/Global QA/Local Dev/Local QA/Local Prod)...Let me know if you have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Salil

Salil,

The way I see it, you probably will require only 4 instances out of which one is Slave.

One DEV instance, to play around and do the required configuration.

One QA instance for testing after making all the changes.

One PROD Master intance where you finally make your changes after testing and PROD Slave instance for the end users to access.

The data will be uploaded into PROD master and the Slave will be updated at regular intervals.

Ravi
