Hello Experts,
I'd like to merge two tables from two different data providers and would like to know the possibility of aggregating values based on the values provided by another table as shown below.
For example: In Table 1, we have a complete list of the dataset and we would like to use this table as a reference for Table 2, which is coming from different data provider compare to Table 1.
I wonder if it is possible for SAP BusinessObjects Webi to merge the table and calculate the 'Money Spent on Food' based on a list of items provided under 'Favourite Food' which is mainly separated by comma.
Would this be possible? Any feedback or tips would be very appreciated!
Hi Owen,
You'll need to follow the below blog

I still don't understand why you're asking contradictory questions in different posts? In the below post you asked almost an opposite question.

What are you trying to achieve?
Thanks,
Mahboob Mohammed

Hi Mahboob, thank you very much for taking a look into this issue!
What I am trying to achieve is actually for more complex than thread so I need to break them down into several straightforward questions so it could help me better understand the mechanics of SAP BusinessObjects and how it works.
So basically for this question, I'd like to know the possibility of linking two tables that are related but having different formats and the capability of SAP BusinessObject to manipulate the data without having to modify the database/dataprovider directly,
let's say, the Table 1 is taken from a universe and the Table 2 is from excel as the data provider. I would want to merge them and create a report which looks like the third table called 'Merged Table'.
I'd like to know if it is possible to pull and aggregate the 'Money Spent on Food' based on the given values, which is a string of combined values from another table separated by comma.
Once again, thank you for your comprehensive reply for the other post. Much appreciated!
I look forward to your feedback or tips for this one as well if you dont mind 😉
