DMO Expert Mode for system Move

Hello Experts

We wish to perform DMO with system move option.
But during inputs to SUM, there were no option to select system move option.
Is it due to because, we have not selected expert mode on option ?
If it is so, now how can we enable system move option. We are currently in pre-processing phase of SUM.
Is there any parameter we can add to files at OS level in SUM directory, so that it takes system move option for DMO.

Hi Bhavesh and Atul,

System move option is not available if target is 1909 for sum sp07

But recently sum sp08 is launched where this option is available.

For older version of sum system move is available if target is 1809

Hello Parmar,

Check the note 2840346 - Database Migration Option (DMO) of SUM 2.0 SP07

It may be that the source / target do not meet the requirements for the option to be available, for example, a target of SAP S/4HANA 1909, is not yet supported.

Hi Atul,

SUM 2.0 SP07 is very much supported for 'DMO with System move' option for following :

Source:

• Source Database: All source databases excluding SAP HANA database.
• OS of source primary application server (PAS) host: Any Unix-based or Windows OS.

Target:

• Target Database: SAP HANA and SAP ASE only
• OS of PAS host: Any Unix-based or Windows operating system

"DMO with System Move" is currently not supported for targeting SAP S/4HANA 1909.
