How to add SDK extension field to Opportunity OWL Screen.

Hi Experts ,

I added some extension fields in SDK which needs to have Custom OVS.

I am able to add to the section group of Opportunity OWL but not to the list.

Please help me on this one as I need to add SDK fields to OWL screen.

We are able to add the KUT custom fields to OWL not the SDK Fields as there is no option "Add Extension fields to List" enabled.

You should be able to add the SDK fields to Opportunity OWL UI as shown:

I don't have access to a C4C system to verify (only have ByD), but I've noticed there are sometimes 2 anchors on the same UI element. One where you can add an Extension Field to, and another one you can't. And sometimes the second one is the anchor you select when you click on it.

Try this:

- Open the OWL in UI Designer

- Click the List you want to add the field to

- Find your selection in the top part of the Extensibility Explorer (you may have to click around in there a bit, the selection in the Designer window will shift along with you). It may be called "Opportunities" (name in ByD).

- See if there isn't ANOTHER "Opportunities" item in the list right below or above it.

- If there is, click that and see if it has "Add Extension Field to List".

I have this with Journal Entry screens,

problem is that when i add it to the second section group that does have the option to extend the field i do not see it after saving and activating in the sdk screen nor in the tenant...

When I have that I have to do the following:

- Select the correct anchor again in the Extensibility Explorer

- Click the little arrow next to "Add Extension Field to Section Group"

- Click the Remove icon (this will remove the addition, the UI Designer will freeze for a couple of minutes)

- Save and Activate

- CLOSE THE UI DESIGNER (I am not joking)

- Wait 10 seconds

- Edit the screen again (this reopens the UI Designer)

- Click the Refresh Metadata button (not always necessary)

- Re-Add the Extension field the same way you did earlier

- Save and Activate

This usually happens after doing two changes after one another.
