CCOM Multi-Tenant mode

Hello team:

I was looking at the documentation for CCOM in multi-tenant mode, but unfortunately there are only instructions for installation, but no instructions for "converting" an existing CCOM installation into multi-tenant mode.

What would be the correct process to migrate several single-tenant CCOMs to one multi-tenant CCOM?

Thanks and best regards,

Joerg.

Hello dstrunz

I don't remember actually doing it, but here are the steps that should work:

  • Uninstall CCOM, but do not delete the single tenant database
  • Reinstall CCOM in multi-tenant mode, using a different database
  • Access CCOM master tenant and register the existing database as a tenant

That should be all, I don't see any reason this shouldn't work.

Hope it helps.

Best regards,

Joerg.

I did it this way and can confirm that it works.

I would also like to see an official documentation/instruction.

I think you could basically setup the new tenant structure and just swap out the underlying databases, just like how you would do it if you create a test environment from a productive environment.

I didn't test it yet!
