Error 500 , after each SAP C4C release for first few days , specially a lot after 2002 update.

Dear Fellow C4C community,

We are facing a huge problem in C4C, A lot of dumps happening on ui after the update. I checked from SDK dump analysis but nothing there.

I think its UI Exception and if user refreshes the screen it starts working. We did clear the cache and ropened c4c multiple time but the dump still hapens. And the problem is, it is so random that we can not reproduce the issue.

Is any one else facing this issues? The real problem is the Trust of the system is decreasing and so is the trust from us as a C4C Technical colleague since we cant even see what happened.

Can any one please help on this?

Dear Dhruvin,

Runtime exceptions can be caused due to inconsistent data as well, but if you complain that every upgrade such 500 exceptions comes then i guess you need to once report an incident for the same.Do you have any incidents open of such scenarios so that we can cross check the cause.

Also we have seen pattern that during upgrade most of the solutions in the dev/test will be in development and some times metadata is not active. So its always good practice to activate the all solutions " In development" onces in your respective test/deb system and cross check if the issue occurs.

We have Dev / test / PRD landscape. And in Production : Solution was deployed and activated. Same in Test and in Dev it was in development. so shall we also activate and assemble development solution?

Dear Dhruvin,

For Production systems, solutions will be in deployed status so you cannot re activate it. But you can try descope and scope it again, just to see if dumps are vanished.

For incident - 47567, we are analyzing it further.

Hello Dhruvin,

The UI exceptions seem to be back with 2005 once again.

For my customer I have received upto 250 exception cases within a day for the entire last week.

On the SAP incident I was advised that the issue is happening because of a memory bottleneck at the C4C backend which was expected to be fixed over this weekend.

But we are still getting similar errors today although not as pronounced as last week.

Did you ever got a good explanation for why these happen in the first place?

Hi anant.acharya : I feel 20-02 update was abit rushed we have so many issues in system.

1. For fiirst three days system dumped alomst after every second click.

2. Some dropdown fields not working properly. -> Identified 1 and Fixed with the help from SAP.

3. Not able to use Multivalue list dropdown field in our case.

4. Excel - spreadsheet copy paste on table level is not working, which was the great feature.
