​EC-ECP-S/4 HANA FI Posting /DME related query

I've below queries for ECP-FI posting in S/4 HANA environment:

1. We have landscape of EC , ECP with S/4 HANA.
While doing EC Payroll Finance posting , Which document needs to be posted.
Is it Payroll posting document or accounting document to be posted to S/4 HANA HEC?

2. In EC-ECP-S/4 HANA land scape, We have ECP/FI Configuration ready. -What's the best way to
replicate manually? or through IDOC in ECP.
Please share relevant document for best practices /KBA.

3. In DME scenario with EC- ECP & S/4 HANA
landscape,
a.Where Pre DME Program to be run ? : S/4 HANA or ECP?
b.Where DME Program to be run ? S/4 HANA or ECP ?

Hi Niladri,

There are couple of options you can consider to implement ECP - S/4 mapping for FI posting.

1. Maintain Wage vs symbolic vs GL account mapping in ECP system

2. Wage vs symbolic in ECP and Symbolic vs GL account in S/4 Hana.

Either ways, the posting document will be created through ALE.

For bank transfer, both Pre DME and DME steps will be executed in ECP system. Hope this helps.

Ideally, ECP is used for running payroll (payroll engine)...so subsequent activities also should happen from there...EC is merely acting like a front-end (rich in presentation/collecting input from end-users).
