TS- Supply Optimizer for Multi Level Planning

Dear All,

We are working TS- Supply optimizer in Multi level BOM scenario.

The requirement is semifinished product line capacity should restrict the production of Finished Product production.

For Header product it has considered in the resource capacity constraint.

But for semi finished product it has considered as infinite capacity!

FYI in Location-Resource, We have maintained constraint type as F.

are we missing any other settings ?

Thank you,

It has been resolved, the issue was with data loading @ Resource - Source MD.

capacity consumption rate POC was wrongly mapped. The data has been corrected.

The optimizer working as per the expectation.

How are you defining capacity

- in Location Resource MDT

OR

- CAPASUPPLY Key figure

There is only 1 setting to consider resource capacity as finite is setting up "F" in Location Resource master data. I assume you have setup the Output - Input relationship in Production Source item MDT

Hi Sandeep,

Have you maintained "F" in location resource MDT against SFG resource? If it is blank/null, optimizer considers infinite capacity for that resource.

Hi Praveen,

Yes, I have maintained the Production Source Header and Production Source Resource MDT.

The optimizer is not respecting the hard constraint of SFG's resource capacity.

Hi Sandeep,

Since you do not need infinite capacity constraint for SFG, have you maintained this SFG product in "Production Source Header" MDT?

If yes, then check for the SFG source of supply "Production Source Resource" MDT is also maintained with consumption rate.

Please maintain above two MDT for the SFG and re-check if the optimizer is now considering finite capacity.
