Search text in Change Master

We use the Change Master CC01, CC02, to record all revision changes to materials. We don't currently use the full ECR capability, just simple change masters. For pre-production changes I to to the Objects tab and put a note in the Description field for each object (material or BOM) listed, noting an engineering request number that's generated and tracked externally.

I had hoped that this would allow me to search for all materials changed by request #123, etc but I hadn't actually tested it. I now see that there doesn't seem to be a way to search change masters by that text.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to search on the description field for objects across all change masters? I'll stop adding notes if I can't search for them.
