Cloud for Sales : Marketing Tradeshows, capturing leads

Our Marketing Team attends trade shows every year. From these shows they get contacts/leads. They would like to enter these leads into C4C and track which Leads become Opportunities in order to show the value in attending the trade shows.

In Opportunity you have field Sales Campaign. I thought to set up Campaigns for their trade shows then they can import their leads. However I am finding you need to set up a Target group as well then there is the Scheduling section in Campaign. At this point they aren't looking to send emails etc. Will this work?

In the Scheduling section on the campaign the fields are mandatory and I don't see a way to undo this.
