I try to run the Job Status Report but it not working. Other reports run fine for me.
The error I receive is:
Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 8114] Failed to retrieve data from the database. Error in File tem_wip_job_status {6C2CCDA8-FC1E-4F77-BA9B-BD36357ED552}.rpt: Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 8114]
Other people said that the issue is with the computer and with the report, but i do not know what causes this. Any help would be appreciated.
I suggest you contact Syspro for assistance, they are an OEM Partner of ours and use Crystal Reports for VS SDK and other Products.
They should be able to help you debug the problem.

Hi Brian,
I run this by Remoting into a Syspro Server, and run the Job Status Report. If i run locally, the Reports would come up fine (if that make sense). I use a different account on the same laptop and was able to pull up the Reports. But when I use my Account, it would run into that error.

Hi,
Is this report being run from Crystal Server, Crystal Reports or a third party application?
What version of Crystal Reports?
What database are you using?
If you open the report in Crystal, can you run it?
This error can happen for different reasons, the most common is because it hasn't logged onto the database. Another reason would be if there are parameters in the report and they are failing.
Thanks,
Brian
