Graphical Layout Editor Not Avail - Screen Painter config: Graphical-Layout

Hi...I'm new to this forum, and I'm having a very strange problem ...the Graphical Screen Painter refuses to launch! it says Graphical Layout Editor Not Available, and starts an "Alphanumeric Editor" instead, which is completely different from the GUI version!

My settings for the Screen Painter have been configured correctly as Graphical Layout..

I checked the help, its not a memory issue...I have Win XP professional, but until last week, the Graphical Screen painter was working with that.

I originally had the SAP 4.6 client but Graphical Screen Painter never worked with that. So I installed version SAP 6.2 and it worked OK -- until last week. Now suddenly it stops working !

I didn't do any changes except shutdown and restart the PC!

I uninstalled and reinstalled the SAP 6.2 Client twice - it still refuses to work.

Can someone help me please ?
