POD in SAP EWM

Hi ,

I have a question regarding POD (Proof of delivery) relevance in EWM.

In process, lets say we have an outbound delivery , we do a PGI and send an item/Product to a Customer.

Now a PGI is already done and item/Product is out of our warehouse. What would happen if a Customer rejects the delivery (POD).

1.What would be a process (in SAP Standard) to manage rejected POD items?

2.Will those Items be handled via a return delivery?

Looking for a response.

Hi Juergen,

Thanks for the response. I have a follow-up question.

What would be the suggested way forward to deal with a customer effectively rejecting the goods

Will it be "Creation of a return order against the original sales order to receive the goods back "

https://help.sap.com/viewer/072e1e902dfa4546970c7966a47c42da/6.18.13/en-US/fc1bbf53d25ab64ce10000000...

Or

Cancellation (or otherwise closing) of the POD?

Hi,

a POD is actually not meant to register that a customer rejected a delivery, but that the customer confirms the actual quantity he has received (https://help.sap.com/viewer/072e1e902dfa4546970c7966a47c42da/6.18.13/en-US/3a1bbf53d25ab64ce10000000a174cb4.html).

And this is more a ERP feature then an EWM function. In EWM you can upload the POD results from ERP (to analyze differences), but EWM otherwise does not do anything.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
