Hello,
We are using crystal reports 9 in one of our applications. Crystal reports run time we are using is CRRuntime_12_3_mlb.msi
It worked fine on Windows 7/Windows 10 Enterprise etc. We recently upgraded to a Windows 10 Pro and when we run the application and try to run the reports, it gives "Automation Error. The system could not find the file specified".
Then, I downloaded CRRuntime_64bit_13_0_12.msi and tried runnig the reports error. Same error. I tried uninstalling this SP and installed CR13SP26MSI64_0-10010309.MSI, same error.
I can see the crystal files in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319\crystalreportviewers13 as well as in C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\Crystal Reports 2011\crystalreportviewers.
What should I do? Please guide. Thank you
Suneel
When you're doing the install from the .msi file are you logged in with Administrator rights? If not, you need to be. The installation configures a number of registry settings and can't do that if you don't have admin privileges. Also, if this is a web application, make sure that the application/IIS has access to the folder where the reports are located.
