Dear colleagues,
During a S/4HANA greenfield implementation we are integrating several handheld and mobile devices with SAP. Several of such devices are Datalogic PowerScan PM9300-433RB with base station BC9030-BK-433-BP with RS-232 connector. As far as I can see or tell, these are "dumb" barcode scanners with no display nor terminal capabilities whatsoever, so a SAPConsole based integration is not an option, let alone ITS Mobile. Due to the huge investment made to purchase these scanning units, they need to be put to use.
I have not been able to find any information regarding SAP integration in Datalogic site and all information I can find in SAP forums refer to smarter devices (such as VT220 capable devices, Windows CE PDAs or mobile devices with Fiori Client).
System is an SAP S/4HANA 1909 (initial shipment). Scanners should ideally be connected to PCs running Debian 10, but a windows based approach could be considered.
Any help towards the correct direction would be appreciated. I would rather not build a whole SAPconnector-based solution from scratch.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
José Enrique
