Role based View Access in SAP Analytics Cloud

Hi all,

I have created and exposed a calculation view in my project. I have also created a role and only the users having that role will be able to access the calculation view. When I try to access this calculation view in SAP Analytics Cloud, it works as expected. But the issue is even the users who don't have that DB role can access this view. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

First, I am assuming you are using HANA live connection in SAC.

Further, you would have probably used the stored User/password option while creating SAP Analytics Cloud connection to your HANA system. Once you configure the SAML SSO to HANA system, a logged in user would only see the calculation views that he/she is authorized for.

I tried using SAML SSO setup. But still any user can access that view. Can it be caused by anything else?

If any user can access the view in SAC, then the all those users would also be able to access them in SAP HANA. As when SAML SSO is configured SAC automatically rely on the privileges in SAP HANA to display the views.

If you beleive, you have already assigned right priveleges in HANA. Then i would recommend to create a support ticket, so that someone could look at your scenario closely.
